Media Register

The Media Register is an electronic information resource established under Article 73.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Media” to systematize information on media entities, including their editorial offices, as well as journalists, and is managed by the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MEDIA Agency).

The Media Register creates opportunities to ensure awareness of existing media entities and journalists in the country, to strengthen the economic independence of media entities and journalists, to clearly define the scope of entities eligible for various benefits when the need arises, to establish mechanisms for protecting the rights granted to media entities and journalists, and to enable a faster and more efficient accreditation process.

The Media Register operates based on principles of user-friendliness, continuity, efficiency, and transparency.

The Media Register encompasses the submission of information by media entities and journalists, the establishment of electronic communication between media entities and journalists and the MEDIA Agency, the provision of electronic services, the acquisition of information from information systems integrated into the Register (except for information the acquisition of which is restricted by law), and other related services.

The Media Register Information System can be accessed via the portal reyestr.media.gov.az or the website media.gov.az.
